Ans : the graph shows the number of mobile phone and internet users in Bangladesh from the period 2014 to 2018. The chart presents that during these 5 years the number of the mobile phone and internet users is increasing steadily. In 2014, 115 million people used mobile phone and only 15 million people used internet. But in 2015 both the users of mobile phone and internet increased. In this year the users of mobile phone rose to 132 million and the internet rose to 21 million. But the next year in 2017, the users of mobile phone reduced a little and the number was 130 million. On the contrary, the users of internet in this year increased sharply and it rose to 67 million. In 2018, both the users increased greatly. In this year, the users of mobile phone were 140 million and the internet users were 81 million. From the graph we notice the greatest increase in the number of the mobile phone users between 2015 to 2016 and 2017 to 2018 and 2017 to 2018, and the increased number is 10 million. On the other hand, we notice the greatest increase in the number of the internet users between 2016 to 2017, and it is 46 million. From an analytical view, it could be said that if the increase rate continues, soon the mobile phone and internet facilities would reach the door steps of almost all the people of Bangladesh.

Ans : The pie chart shows the percentage of travelers in Bangladesh travelling in different transportation ways per day. Here five types of transports are shown in the pie chart. They are land vehicles, train, launch and stemmer, bicycle and others, and boats. Of the five types of transportation, land have the highest percentage, 75% of the travelers use land vehicles for travelling while 10% of the travelers use train. On the other hand, launch and steamers are used by 8% of the travelers; and boats are transportation, land used by 5% of the travelers. It is also seen from the pie chart that bicycle and other types of vehicles have the lowest percentages in travelling. Only 2% of the travelers use bicycle and other types of vehicles. From an analytical view it could be said that road transport and communication system is the best in travelling in Bangladesh. Though Bangladesh is a reverie country, the transportation system of water ways is not satisfactory. Besides, train communication system also is not up to the mark. The authority concerned should look into the matter and take effective moves to improve overall transportation system.

Ans: The graph shows the choice of profession by educated people. The graph shows that the highest portion of educated people choose govt. job as their profession or career. In percentage, 60 persons out of 100 have shown their preference for govt. job. Next comes banking which is the choice of 40% educated people as their profession. The 3rd highghts portion of people has shown their choice for teaching as their profession. And 30% of people like teaching. Next come business which is the choice of 18% educated people as their profession. Then comes farming, and only 10 percent of the educated people choose farming as their profession. The rest and the lowest portion of the educated people have been found to choose research work of different types, and it is only 6%. From the graph it is found that most of the educated people choose a job that can ensure their future security, and a small portion of educated people like self employment and farming. But it is not hopeful. The govt. should take effective steps to encourage educated people to engage in farming as ours is an agricultural country. Also, educated people should be encouraged in business or self employment.

 

[cb:19]4.The graph below shows “the internet users” from 2000 to 2009. Describe the graph in at least 80 words. You should highlight and summarize the information given in the graph.

Ans: The graph shows the internet users from 2000 to 2009. It also shows that the number of the internet users is rising rapidly. In 2000 the first year shows that 0.003 lakh people used the internet whereas in 2002 it rose to 1.5 lakh in number. This number is 5 hundred times more than that of 2000. The number of the internet users rose to 2.43 lakh in 2003 that is remarkable. In 2005, the number of the internet users reached 3 lakh. We notice the greatest increase in the number of the internet users between 2005 and 2007. In these two years, the number of internet users increased 2 lakh and 2007, the number of the internet users rose to 5 lakh . In 2008, 5.50 lakh people used the internet which rose to 6.17 lakh in 2009. The tendency of using the internet is gradually increasing undoubtedly to keep pace with the demand of the modern age.

 

[Ctg:19 djb:17] 5.The chart below shows the sources of air pollution in a city. Describe the chart in 150 words. You should highlight and summarize the information given in the chart.

Ans: The pie chart shows air pollution of a city by five different sources. The sources are the vehicles, industry, waste disposal, heating or using air conditioned and power plant. The highest level of pollution is caused by different types of vehicles, and it covers 60% of the total pollution. The second highest rate pollution is caused by industries and it covers 18% of the total pollution. The third source is power plant which covers 13% of the total pollution. Heating or using air conditioning also contributes to pollution which covers 6% of the total pollution. And, finally waste disposal also contributes to pollution and it covers 3% of the total pollution. From the chare it is clear that the highest level of pollution is caused by vehicles and the lowest rate of pollution is caused by waste disposal. Besides, industries, power plant and heating or using air conditioning are also greatly responsible for pollution. The authority concerned should look into this matter so that the rate of pollution can be minimized to a great extent.

[Sb:19]6.The graph below shows an increase in the number of overseas students at the universities which usually takes places over a period of time. Describe the graph in 150 words.

Ans: The graph shows an increase in the number of overseas students in the universities in Bangladesh from the year 2000 to 2020. In the year 2000, there were only 200 overseas students at the universities. In 2005, the number increased a little and it rose to about 300. That means within 5 years only 100 students were added. But in 2010, the number of overseas students at the universities in Bangladesh tremendously increased and it rose to about 850. So, from the year 2005 to 2010, the increased number of students was 550. Next five years the number of overseas students also increased, and it was about 1100. But the next five years the number of overseas students remains almost the same and it was 1100. From an analytical view, it could be remarked that the increasing enrolment of overseas students at our universities is a positive side in our education system. So the authority concerned should take this issue with great importance and take effective steps to improve the condition of higher education in our country to attract the overseas students to great extent.

Ans: The bar chart depicts the number of internet users in the urban and rural areas from the year 2010 to 2015. The graph says that in 2010 10% of the urban people used internet whiles the users were only4% in the rural Ares. Then in 2011 and 2012 and 2013 respectively 14%, 20% and 27% people in the urban areas used internet. On the other hand, the percentage of rural internet users was 5%, 8% and 13% respectively in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2014 and 2015, 35% and 45% urban people were internet users. On the contrary, 20% and 25% village people were internet users in these two years. From the graph, it could be said that the percentage of internet users in both areas have been significantly on the rise all the years round. Besides, the difference between the ratios of two areas has also been on the wane.

The pie chart shows the sources of environment pollution in a city. In the chart it is noticed that there are four sources that contribute to environment pollution of the city. Here the major sources of environment pollution are industrial wastes and toxic chemicals. 60% pollution is caused by these two sources contribute 15% pollution is caused by powerhouses. There are also other sources that cause 8% of the total pollution. From an analytical view we can say that city dwellers are vulnerable to environment pollution.

The bar graph shows the number of people living below the poverty line from 1995 to 2010. From the graph we notice that in 1995, population below the poverty line was 35%. Unfortunately, population below the poverty line in 2003 rises to 45%. But, this rate decreased sharply to 30% in next four years. This rate further decreased and it came down to 28% in 2010. From 1995 to 2010, during these 15 years a struggle against poverty was noticeable though compared to the long period, this result was not up to the mark. From the graph it is seen that from the graph it is seen that from 1995 to 2010, during these3 long 15 years the rate of people living below the poverty line lessened by only 7%. Therefore, govt. should look into the matter and take effective moves to root out poverty from our country.

  Ans: The graph shows the fluctuation of the literacy rate of Bangladesh in some selective years since 1995. The graph reveals that the literacy rate of Bangladesh since 1995 fluctuates from 38.1% to 56.8%. In Bangladesh 1995 the rate was only 38.1% BUT IN 2000, it rose up t 56%. But in the next years 2000 to 2001 the literacy rate of our country was on the wane. In 2001 the rate came down to 47.9% which was 8.1% less than the previous survey. The next two years 2001 to 2003 was the last segment of decreasing of literacy rate in Bangladesh. In those two years, the rate reduced by 4.8% declining the rate to 43.1% only. It is the last indicator with negative impression. But if we look at the last indicator in 2010, we can find a positive change. In these seven years 2003 to 2010, the literacy rate of Bangladesh got a significant increase of 13.7% and in 2010 the literacy rate came up to 56.8% which is the highest rate indicated in the graph. It is also significant that from 1995 to 2010 in 15 years the literacy rate of Bangladesh rises 18.7% in total.

Ans: The pie chart shows various sources of USA electricity in 1980. In that year the USA generated electricity in different ways. Almost half of the USA electricity was generated in 1980 through the use of fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, oil 46% of the USA electricity was generated in 1980 through the use of coal. 24% of the electricity was generated by using natural gas. On the country only 12% of the use electricity was generated through the use does oil. Water was also used to generate electricity in the USA in 1980. 16% do the USA electricity in was generated by using hydro electric power. Nuclear power also used to generate electricity in the USA but only 2% of the USA electricity was generated in 1980 by using nuclear power. It is clear to us that more electricity on the USA was generated in 1980 by using coil. So, the USA depends mostly on coal for generating electricity.

Ans: The graph displays the number of the internet users from the period 2000 to 2012. The chart shows that during these 13 years the number of the internet users is increasing rapidly. In 2000, only 31 lakh of people used the internet whereas in 2002 it rose to 1.5 lakh in number. This number is about 5 times more than that of 2000. The number of the internet users rose to 2.43 lakh in 2003 that is remarkable. In 2005, the number of the internet users reached 3 lakh, and in 2007 it reached 5 lakh. So, we notice the greatest increase in the number of the internet user between 2005 and 2007 and it is 2 lakh. In 2009, 5.56 lakh of people used the internet which rose to 6.14 lakh in 2012. From the graph, it is apparent that the tendency of using the internet is gradually increasing undoubtedly to keep pace with the demand of the modern age.

Ans: The pie chart shows how students pass their time doing carious activities. The chart shows that more than half of student’s time is spent in school and in sleep. The rest of the time is spent in play, study, recreation and other activities. Students pass 30% of their time in sleep and 25% of their time in school. Thus they spend more time in these two activities. The main pursuit of the students is study and they spend 20% time in their study. Playing games is important to them, and so they spend some time in play. They keep 5% of their time for this. Student also gives importance in recreation. Thus pass 12% of their time in recreation. Lest of all, they spend 8% of their time in other activities thus students pass their time in sleep, school, and study playing games, entertainment and doing other activities. The ratio of students time spending indicates that they spend their time in a logical way.

Ans: The pie chart shows the percentages of types of transportation used by 800 students to come to college. There are transports of four types shown in the pie chart. They are bus, car, bicycle and walking. Of the four types of transportation bicycle has the highest percentage. 45% of the 800 students use bicycle to come to college while 30% of the students use bus, 10% of the students use car and 15% of the students walk to college.  From the analytical view of the pie chart it can be said that the college is located in an urban area where bicycle are used widely. It is also found that many students come students to college from a distant place and they use bus for transportation. It can also be said that come students live near their college area and so can come to college by walking. Some students belonging to well to do family come to college by car. In fine, it can be said that the college is located at a place having good communication system.

Ans: The pie chart shows the percentages of the distribution of annual income of a particular family into different categories. The chart reveals that the highest portion of the family income is spent on food and this is 28% of its total income. Then come the expenditure for education. The family spends 25% of education. The expenditure on clothes is 10%. Family’s other expenditures are 5% for power and 12% for transport. The family spends 8% of its income on other purpose. Besides, the family saves 12% of its total income. From an analytical view we can say that the family is a middle class family as 28% of its income is spent on food. The chart also relevant that this family is very conscious about education. From the chart it is also understood that the family realize the importance of savings and so it saves 12% of its income for future. In fine, we can say that it is a very well planned family.

Ans. The graph shows a comparative selling a comparative selling rate of the seven types of book in ekushey boi mela 2023. These seven types of books include research, poetry, novels, history, travel, comics and drama. Of these seven types of book the novels were sold higher than any other types and its number is about 4700.  The second highest in selling is comics, the number of which is 2500. The third position in selling is history and its number is 2000. The lowest in the sale is drama. Its number is about 400. Analyzing the graph we can say that out of the sold 12,000 books the number of novels is 4700, comics is 2500, history is 2000, travel is 1500, poetry is 1000, research is 500 and drama is 400. Therefore if we make a list of the categories of books from the highest selling rate to the lowest, then we find this serial: Nobel, comics, history, travel, poetry, research and drama. At a glance, the graph shows that novels occupy the highest position in selling rate and drama has the lowest position. The other five types of books, comics, history, travel, poetry and research remain in between. Thus the graph gives a very clear picture of the seven types of book sold in the Ekushey boi mela 2023.

Ans: The graph shows the engagement child labor in different sectors of ‘X’ country from 2005 till 2016. In the year 2005, 62% of child labor ware found engaged in agriculture, 15% in industry and 23% in service. A few years later, in the year 2012, there was a change in child labor. In the year 2012 45% of child labor was found engaged in agriculture, 19% in industry and 36% in service. The graph shows that four years later, that is in 216, 40% of child labor were found engaged in agriculture. 29% in industry and 31% in service. Therefore, over eleven years engagement of child labor rose 14% in industry and 8%in service declining 22% in agriculture. Though in 2012, the engagement of child labor in service was significantly higher. It was 36% which was only 9% less than in agriculture and 17% higher than industry. However since the year 2005, the trend of the engagement of child labor in agriculture is decreased. In the year 2005, the trend of the engagement of child labor in agriculture decreases. In the year 2005, it was 62% but within the next eleven years, the percentage of the engagement of child labor in agriculture is decreased to 40% from its previous 62%, which means that within four years 22% of children come out of their engagement in agriculture. Thus the graph provides a clear picture of the trends of rising or fall of engagement of child labour in different sector of ‘X’ country from the year 2005 to 2016.

Ans: The chart shows the choice of profession by different education people. Educated people prefer govt. job, farming, business, intellectual work, banking and teaching. A lion share of educated people like go0vt. Job. The participant in govt. job is 60%. It far out numbers the other professions. Then only 25% educated people like to run business. In is 35% less than govt. job. Highly educated people prefer research work. The percentages digit is only single which 5% is. On the other hand only 10% educated people like farming. 40% people like banking and 30% people like teaching. So govt. job gets the highest professional value wherever intellectual work gets the lowest. However the difference between the highest and the lowest preference is 55%.

Ans: The chart and graph shows the export sectors in Bangladesh that earn foreign money. It shows four sectors of exporting different kinds things. Garments export more than half percentages of the export of Bangladesh and it is 54%. Manpower is the second highest in exporting and it 30%. Tea, fish, leather etc are exported to some countries and it is 08%. Others also take the same position of 08%. By analyzing the chart and graph, it can be said that garments sectors are domination in the exporting sectors of Bangladesh. It has bright prospect and this sector should be given importance and manpower is also playing a vital role.
