Sentence Connector এর সহজ নিয়ম

নিচের word গুলি sentence connector হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

And, but, yet, both…and…, both…and…but, Not only….but also, either….or, neither…nor, when, while, than, then, on the other hand, in fact, it is true that, unless, firstly….secondly….thirdly…finally, finally, for example. Such as, as, so, Therefore.

 And ও but এর ব্যবহার:

1.                  দুটি noun এর মাঝে and বসে।

2.                  দুটি হ্যাঁ বাচক বাক্যের মাঝে and বসবে।

Kamal – Jamal are two friends

এখানে kamal ও Jamal হলো দুটি noun এবং দুটি noun এর মাঝে conjunction হিসেবে and বসেছে ।

He went to Dhaka – He met with Mr Paul.

The common mass got united – started their preparation for war.

The Pakistani forces started mass killing – killed about 30 lakh innocent people.

এখানে He went to Dhaka, He met with Mr Paul দুটি হ্যাঁ বাচক বাক্যের মাঝে conjunction হিসেবে and বসেছে।

Trees are a vital part of our environment. Actually they bear a great impact on the climate.-we are not careful about them. Dhaka Board=2019)

 Note: দুটি sentence এর মাঝে যেকোন একটি negative হলে blank এর মাঝে ‍conjunction হিসেবে ‍but বসবে।

 Both…and… এর ব্যবহার:

                           ‍দুটি noun এর পুর্বে দুটি blank থাকলে প্রথম Blank এর মাঝে both এবং দ্বিতীয় blank এর মাঝে ‍and বসবে।

 অথবা দুটি হ্যাঁ বাচক বাক্যের পুর্বে blank থাকলে প্রথম blank এর মধ্যে both এবং দ্বিতীয় blank এর মাঝে ‍and বসবে।

 While এর ব্যবহার:

1.                  Blank এর পরে V1+ing যুক্ত হলে blank  এর মধ্যে while বসবে।

2.                  Blank এর পরে present continuous/ past continuous হলে blank এর মধ্যে while বসবে।

Actually/ in fact এর ব্যবহার:

 কোন বাস্তব ঘটনা/ সম্ভাব্য বিষয় বুঝাতে blank এর মাঝে in fact / actually বসবে। যেমন, Trees are a vital part of our environment. -, they bear a great impact on the climate. Dhaka Board=2019)

এখানে বুঝানো হচ্ছে গাছ হচেছ আমাদের পরিবেশের জন্য গুরুত্বপুর্ণ অংশ প্রকৃতপক্খে এটা পরিবেশের প্রভাব ফেলে তাই blank এর মধ্যে actually / in fact বসানো যাবে।

    Rather –বরং)এর ব্যবহার:

                   কোন কাজ না করা উচিৎ তার পরেও কাজটি করা হচ্ছে বুঝাতে blank এর মধ্যে rather বসবে। যেমন Trees are a vital part of our environment. -, they bear a great impact on the climate, but we are not careful about them-we destroy trees at random. Dhaka Board=2019

এখানে আমরা গাছ সম্পর্কে অমনোযোগী হওয়া উচিৎ নয় বরং আমরা গাছগুলোকে কেটে ফেলতেছি, তাই Blank এর মধ্যে rather বসবে।

 As a result / ultimately ফলে) এর ব্যবহার:

                             Sentence এর মধ্যে যখন একটি কাজের ফলে আরেকটি কাজ সংঘটিত হয় বুঝাবে তখন blank এর মধ্য As a result/ultimately বসানো যাবে। যেমন, we destroy trees at random-one day our country will bear the consequence of greenhouse effect. যেমন, আমরা এলোমেলোভাবে গাছগুলি কেটে পেলতেছি ফলে আমরা গ্রীনহাউসে পতিত হচ্চি, তাই blank এর মধ্যে as a result / ultimately বসানো যাবে।

 That’s why এর ব্যবহার:

              পুর্ববর্তী কাজের কোন ফলস্বরুপ পরবর্বতী কাজ সংঘটিত হয় বুঝালে blank এর মধ্যে That’s why বসবে।যেমন, A lazy student fails to make the grade as he kills time-the teachers advise their students not waste time.

Moreover অধিকন্তু) এর ব্যবহার:

                       পূর্ববর্তী কোন কাজের ফল সম্পরর্কে সতর্ক করতে blank এর মধ্যে Moreover বসবে। যেমন,  That’s why the teachers advise their students not waste time-they warn the students against their addiction to social networking sites and gaming.

এখানে blank এর পরে ‍দ্বিতীয়াংশে social networking sites and gaming সম্পর্কে সতর্ক করা হয়েছে তাই blank এর মধ্যে moreover বসবে।

 Otherwise অন্যথায়) এর ব্যবহার:

                          পুর্ববর্তী ও পরবর্তী কোন কাজ না বোধক অর্থবোধক অর্থ প্রকাশ করলে blank এর মধ্যে otherwise বসবে। যেমন, ‍Students should follow the advice of their teachers-they will suffer in the long run. Mymensihg Board=2023

এখানে blank এর পরে negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করতেছে তাই blank এর মধ্যে otherwise বসবে।

 **ব্যক্তি বুঝালে who বসবে আর বস্তু বুঝালে which বসবে।

 So তাই ) এর ব্যবহার:

তাই অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে blank এর মধ্যে তাই বসবে।যেমন, - to enjoy good health, it is also necessary to keep our mind sound.

 However যাই হোক কেন)

 কোন কিছু ঘটতে পারে বুঝালে blank এর মধ্যে however বসবে।

However, we are now an independence nation.

Neither….nor…এর ব্যবহার:

                 1. দুটির মধ্যে কোনটি নয় এই রকম Negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে প্রথম blank এর মধ্যে Neither আর দ্বিতীয় blank এর মধ্যে nor বসবে।

                  2. ‍Sentence এর মধ্যে Neither শব্দটি উল্লেখ থাকলে আর blank এর মধ্যে nor বসবে। যেমন,    They – take physical exercise – take proper food. এখানে বুঝানো হচ্ছে তারা physical exercise ও সঠিক খাবার গ্রহণ করে না। তাই blank এর মধ্যে Neither ….nor বসবে।

 Therefore এইজন্যই) এর ব্যবহার:

              অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে blank এর মধ্যে Therefore বসবে। যেমন, - they cannot afford to eat good food. খানে এই জন্য অর্থ প্রকাশ করতেছে তাই blank এর মধ্যে therefore বসবে।

  certainly নিশ্চিতভাবে)

                    এর ব্যবহার: নিশ্চিতভাবে বুঝাতে blank এর মধ্যে certainly বসবে। যেমন, Certainly the journey was not smooth at all. Sylhet Board=2023)

যেমন, When Bangabandhu delivered his speech, the common mass got united. এখানে ১ম অংশটি past indefinite হয়েছে আর দ্বিতীয় অংশ ও past indefinite হয়েছে তাই blank এর মধ্যে when বসবে।

                                   Blank এর পুর্বে ও পরে যেকোন একটি negative হওয়া স্বত্বেও যে কোন positive কাজ সুম্পুর্ণ হয় বুঝাতে blank এর মধ্যে though/although বসবে। যেমন, ‍Although the freedom fighters didn’t have modern weapons in their hand, they were the real patriots and courageous.

 **At last/finally/Mainly/actually/generally সর্বশেষ)

এখানে বলা হচেছে যে সর্বশেষ স্বাধীনতার সময়টি এসে গেল।

 Now এখন ) এর ব্যবহার:

                  এখন অর্থ বুঝাতে blank এর মধ্যে now বসবে। যেমন, - we are the citizens of a free land. এখানে বলা হচেছে  এখন আমরা একটি স্বাধীন নাগরিক ও মুক্ত ভুমির অধিকারী

 In addition ফলে) এর  ব্যবহার:

                         ফলে অর্থে প্রকাশ করতে blank এর মধ্যে in addition বসবে।

যেমন, Moreover late rising from bed tells upon our health-we can never enjoy the freshness of nature.

এখানে বলা হচ্ছে যে, বিছানা থেকে দেরিতে উঠার ফলে আমরা প্রকৃতির স্বচ্ছতা উপলদ্বি করতে পারছিনা । তাই এখানে blank এর মধ্যে in addition বসবে।

 Hence/ for this reason এই কারণে)

                                blank এর পুর্বে কোন কাজের কারণে blank এর পরে কোন negative কাজ সুম্পুর্ণ হলে blank এর মধ্যে hence/ for this reason বসবে। যেমন, they cannot enjoy good health-awareness about health rules.  **Just/only/for এই মাত্র/এক মাত্র) 

যেমন, we read a book – once, we can discover many things. এখানে বলা হচ্ছে যে আমরা যদি একমাত্র বইটি পড়ি তাহলে অনেক কিছু আবিস্কার করতে পারবো।

 As যেমন) এর ব্যবহার:

                      কোন  কিছুর উদাহণ দিতে blank এর মধ্যে as বসবে। Happiness is a relative term – it depends upon some factors. Dhaka Board 23) এখানে বলা হচ্ছে যে Happiness হচ্ছে একটি relative term যেমন এটি বিভিন্ন বিষয়ের উপর নির্ভর করে , তাই blank এর মধ্যে as বসবে।

On the other hand অন্যথায়)

                             Blank এর পুর্বে ও পরে যেকোন একটি negative হলে blank এর মধ্যে on the other hand বসবে। যেমন,  A beggar may be contented with only ten taka- a wealthy person may be dissatisfied even after getting one million taka Dhaka Board 23). এখানে বলা হচ্ছে একজন গরিব ১০ টাকায় সন্তুষ্টি আসে অন্য দিকে ধনীলোক এক মিলিয়ন টাকায় সন্তুষ্টি হয় তাই blank এর মধ্যে on the other hand বসবে।

 **Because of/ owing to/due to/ on account of / for এর ব্যবহার:

           Blank এর পুর্বে ও পরে যদি যেকোন একটি কারণ বাচক এবং অন্যটি ফলাফল বাচক হয় তাহলে blank এর মধ্যে because/because of/ owing to/ due to/ on account of/ for বসবে।

এখানে শিক্ষা আমাদের শুধু উপার্জন করতে শিখায় না বরং ব্যয় করতে ও  শিখায়।

 How কেমন/ কিভাবে) এর ব্যবহার:

কিভাবে অর্থ প্রকাশ ও blank এর পরে সাধারণত অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে blank এর মধ্যে how বসানে যায়। যেমন, It teaches – to live in amity with others in society. Sylhet Board 2019 )এখানে বলা হচ্ছে যে শিক্ষা আমাদেরকে শিকায় কিভাবে সমাজে বসবাস করতে শিখায় এবং এখানে blank এর পরে to রয়েছে তাই blank এর মধ্যে how বসবে।

 In this contest/ on the contrary বিপরীত পক্ষে)

Blank এর পুর্বে ও পরে কোন একটি negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করলে blank এর মধ্যে but/on the contrary/ in this contest  বসবে। যেমন,

 Now a days/ at present/ Now আজ কাল) এর ব্যবহার:

বর্তমান সময়ে অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে blank এর মধ্যে now/now a days/ at present বসবে। যেমন, Unemployment is a curse. – All the countries of the world suffer from the curse.বেকারত্ব একটা অভিশাপ বর্তমানে সকল দেশ এই অভিশাপ ভোগ করতেছে। তাই blank এর মধ্যে Now a days/ at present/ Now  বসানো যাবে।
